![]() ![]() We will survive one lost weekend without Divinity 2, providing GOG makes the patch available next week, and we will know what to do next time, but it's not really ideal that we had to learn it the hard way.Īnyway, thanks again for checking these forums and replying on a weekend, that's true dedication, and I still think highly of Larian despite this mishap. Still, seeing that the patching seems to disrupt compatibility, it's a pity that there isn't an easier way to ensure that things like this don't happen to "crossplayers". Of course, that's not your fault, so kudos for doing all in your power to make the update available on GOG (Galaxy) immediately. For many of us GOG ≠ Galaxy, and it would be nice if the customers who prefer not to use the "optional" client wouldn't always get the short end of the stick. The thing with Galaxy is that not a few customers are here on GOG precisely because they prefer not to use clients, and GOG keeps telling those users that Galaxy is entirely optional when in reality not using Galaxy creates all kinds of problems, like this one. It would be nice if one could opt out of patches for Divinity 2 in the Steam client, but it seems like this game doesn't allow to disable the autoupdates as some others on Steam do? ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the the quick reply and the advice, but I fear it comes too late since my co-op partner's version was updated already. Steam users can make a backup of the DefEd folder in the install folder before an update, and can continue with the previous version after an update by starting from the executable, until GOG adds the patch. GOG usually updates the patches and full installer within a business day or two. Raze_Larian: The update was available immediately in Galaxy. ![]()
